Baseball Game Preview: Vista Panthers vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns

The Vista Panthers will challenge the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Vista fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Mission Vista on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Mission Vista by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Rancho Buena Vista came up short against Oceanside on Thursday and fell 6-3.

Tyler Saldana-Mu?oz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, David Navadel was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Vista's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
