Soccer Game Preview: Nimitz vs. MacArthur

Nimitz is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will face off against the MacArthur Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Nimitz and Denton finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, MacArthur was not quite Emerson's equal in the second half last Monday. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, MacArthur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 330th, while Emerson are ranked 54th).

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. Nimitz's draw gives them a new season record of 2-5-3.
