Westview skates past Paducah Tilghman with ease

The Westview Chargers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They breezed by Paducah Tilghman at home to the tune of 57-29. Considering Westview has won five games by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Westview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Annelise Hayden, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hayden has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kylee Alexander, who scored seven points.

Westview's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Paducah Tilghman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Humboldt will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Westview is ranked 13th). As for Paducah Tilghman, they will be playing at home against Hopkins County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
