Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hawken). They put the hurt on the Orange Lions with a sharp 73-49 win on Tuesday. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Lions are ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Orange lost, don't look at Major Calhoun. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Alex Mcculloch was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Hawken's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Orange, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawken will host Harvey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Perry at 7:00 p.m. Perry will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Orange surely won't give up without a fight.
