Basketball Game Preview: Lone Star Longhorns vs. Arickaree Bison

The Lone Star Longhorns will head out on the road to take on the Arickaree Bison at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Lone Star earned a 53-45 win over Weldon Valley.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arickaree). They really took it to Denver Waldorf for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-21 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bison had established a 32 point advantage.

Arickaree has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Lone Star, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Lone Star came up short against Arickaree in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 35-30. Can Lone Star avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
