Glenbard West had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. They came out on top against the York Dukes by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Hilltoppers: when they faced off against the Dukes on April 8th, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Despite the loss, York had strong showings from Ben Wede, who had 11 digs, and Carson Cruver, who had 19 assists and five digs. Cruver has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 11 times he's played.

Glenbard West's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for York, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-6.

Glenbard West and York should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Hilltoppers (ranked fourth) will meet Proviso West (ranked 157th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, York will face off against Hinsdale Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (16 vs. 138).
