Volleyball Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short

Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-4.

Rita Taylor was a one-woman wrecking crew For Greater Atlanta Christian. as she had 12 assists and ten aces. That's the most aces Taylor has posted since back in September of 2024.

Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season.

Douglass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Riverdale on the 7th.
