Basketball Recap: Magee Has No Trouble Against Port Gibson

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Magee had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Port Gibson Blue Waves as they made off with a 57-35 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Magee's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Port Gibson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.

Looking ahead, Magee will take on McLaurin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. McLaurin will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Magee surely won't give up without a fight. Port Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
