Baseball Game Recap: Nitro Wildcats vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks

Nitro suffered their closest defeat since March 26th on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Nitro has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Point Pleasant, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nitro will welcome St. Albans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Point Pleasant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gallia Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
