Softball Recap: Paramus Catholic Victorious

Paramus Catholic took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Livingston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knght Paladins skirted past the Lancers 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knght Paladins.

Dilynn Jeffries-El made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, McKenna Henderson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Paramus Catholic's win bumped their record up to 17-5-1. As for Livingston, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Paramus Catholic will square off against Red Bank Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Livingston, they will face off against Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
