Peebles won against Whiteoak last Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Indians came out on top against the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays by a score of 7-2. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Jays, too.

Kaelyn Musser was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendall Myers, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Abigail Smalley, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The victory made it two in a row for Peebles and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Peebles will face off against rival Fayetteville-Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington is set to challenge their familiar foe Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
