Basketball Recap: St. Francis' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

St. Francis lost against St. John the Baptist back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Raiders took a hard 68-53 fall against the Cougars. The loss put an end to the Red Raiders' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Francis lost, don't look at Evan Newby-Mckinnie. Despite the final result, he shot 55% from the field on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Evan Noecker, who posted eight points.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Francis fell to 2-1.

St. Francis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-50 defeat against Holy Trinity on the 14th. St. John the Baptist has also already played their next game (against Nichols), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
