Basketball Recap: Williamsville Bullets vs. Pleasant Plains Cardinals
The Williamsville Bullets fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Pleasant Plains Cardinals on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Williamsville in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost eight in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Williamsville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brecken Thomas. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Saling, who scored 14 points.
Williamsville's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Pleasant Plains, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.
