It was fun while it lasted, but Foley's undefeated season came to an end after 15 games on Thursday. They lost 70-44 to the Hoover Buccaneers. The Lions were probably out for revenge after losing 72-47 to them when the teams met back in December of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Foley's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-1. As for Hoover, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Foley and Hoover should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Foley (ranked eighth) will meet Lee (ranked 246th) at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Similarly, Hoover (ranked third) will meet Pleasant Grove (ranked 35th) at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
