Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Mcdowell's Fourth in Last Five Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meadville, McDowell was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Conneaut Area Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

McDowell had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

McDowell is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Conneaut Area, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDowell will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Howland at 6:00 p.m. on May 2. As for Conneaut Area, they will venture away from home to challenge Maplewood at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
