Winter Springs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Edgewater Eagles on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Tripp Rosenberger looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Ranfhy Nunez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Owen Swanson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Edgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Winter Springs has already played their next contest, an 8-1 victory against Deltona on the 13th. As for Edgewater, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 loss against Lake Nona on the 12th.
