Basketball Recap: Devin Mcintyre's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westwood Christian over Florida Christian

Westwood Christian lost against Florida Christian back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Westwood Christian Warriors took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Florida Christian Patriots.

Westwood Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Devin Mcintyre, who went 6 of 10 en route to 25 points along with five assists and three steals. Mcintyre has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Martinez, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Ryan Rangel was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 15 on his way to 28 points for Florida Christian. Those 28 points gave Rangel a new career-high. Tavarus Greene was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 12 points and five assists.

Westwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Florida Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Westwood Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-56 victory against Coral Park on the 6th. As for Florida Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-51 win against Miami Christian on the 8th.
