Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Desert View Jaguars

Mountain View is on a 12-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Desert View a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Mountain View Mountain Lions will look to defend their home field against the Desert View Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mountain View lost 18-2 to Ironwood Ridge on Friday.

Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Cleveland, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Desert View duked it out with Cienega on Thursday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Jaguars have suffered since February 26th.

Armando Gutierrez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Desert View, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
