Archbishop Mitty and Junipero Serra are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Monarchs will take on the Padres at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Junipero Serra took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Archbishop Mitty, who comes in off a win.

While Archbishop Mitty's win against King's Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Monarchs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Knights 3-2. The Monarchs haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Junipero Serra scored first but ultimately less than Del Oro in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 4-3.

Ian Josephson was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.

Junipero Serra has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-5 record this season. As for Archbishop Mitty, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Archbishop Mitty suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Junipero Serra in their previous meeting on April 11th. Can the Monarchs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
