Baseball Game Preview: Philadelphia Tornadoes vs. Eupora Eagles

The Philadelphia Tornadoes will face off against the Eupora Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Philadelphia will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Union, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tornadoes won by a run and slipped past the Yellowjackets 2-1. The game was the first time the Tornadoes have beaten the Yellowjackets on their field since February 25, 2023.

Meanwhile, Eupora waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 10-4 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Eupora's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Stroup, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Jacob Crimm was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Eupora's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Philadelphia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
