Softball Recap: Jackson City Comes Up Short

Jackson City fell victim to Jenkins and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Cavaliers. The Tigers have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Jackson City now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jenkins, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson City will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Wolfe County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Jenkins, they will head out to face off against Knott County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
