You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Liberty's strategy against Boulder Creek on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Liberty Lions blew the Boulder Creek Jaguars out of the water with a 67-27 final score. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 28 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Francesca Sofia, who posted 19 points along with eight steals and five assists. Sofia is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Johnson, who earned 17 points in addition to eight steals and five assists.

Liberty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Boulder Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Liberty and Boulder Creek could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. Liberty (ranked 64th) will meet Pinnacle (ranked eighth) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Boulder Creek will face off against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th down 184 places (204 vs. 20).
