Baseball Recap: Louis E. Dieruff Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Louis E. Dieruff's offense. They came up short against the Easton Area Rovers on Wednesday, falling 15-0. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Rovers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Louis E. Dieruff saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Dejesus, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Alonzy Almonte also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Louis E. Dieruff and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Easton Area, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louis E. Dieruff will host Pleasant Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Easton Area, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against State College at 1:00 p.m.
