Basketball Game Preview: Servite Friars vs. Woodbridge Warriors

Servite's tournament run continued when they took on Trabuco Hills on Wednesday. The Friars enjoyed a cozy 62-45 victory over the Mustangs.

Servite's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tariq Johnson, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 14 points and five rebounds. Johnson has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Marcus Gragg-Buchanan, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Woodbridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-56 victory over Villa Park on Wednesday.

Woodbridge's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. As for Servite, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
