Softball Recap: Lee Takes a Loss

Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sterling Rangers. If the Ganders were looking for revenge after losing 16-10 to the Rangers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tara Archibald was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Sterling, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Lee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-4 defeat against Port Neches-Groves on the 25th. As for Sterling, they have also already played their next matchup, a 22-2 victory against Port Arthur Memorial on the 25th.
