Soccer Recap: Kearney Takes Down Ranked Lincoln East

Kearney faced Lincoln East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bearcats never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's more bragging rights for Kearney, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Gordy Garner, who's now up to six this season.

Kearney pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five matches. As for Lincoln East, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
