Soccer Recap: Cartersville Find Success

Cartersville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They beat the South Paulding Spartans by a goal, winning 2-1. Cartersville have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw South Paulding, too.

Mary Beth Hackney and Helen Leaming scored both of Cartersville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Cartersville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for South Paulding, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Cartersville and South Paulding will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Hurricanes see the pitch they'll take on Dawson County at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for South Paulding, their break will end when they face Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
