Basketball Recap: Forreston Takes a Loss

If Forreston was riding high fresh off their 60-34 takedown of Amboy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Forreston Cardinals took a hard 59-40 fall against the Lena-Winslow Panthers on Wednesday. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Forreston's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Lena-Winslow, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Forreston and Lena-Winslow should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Forreston will face off against LaMoille at 6:00 p.m. on Monday up 400 places (335 vs. 735). Similarly, Lena-Winslow (ranked 258th) will meet Orangeville (ranked 704th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
