There's no place like home for Van Meter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Panorama Panthers a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Van Meter's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Panorama, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Meter will host Earlham at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Panorama, they will welcome Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Panorama will no doubt try to take advantage of.
