Basketball Recap: Webster Schroeder Comes Up Short

Webster Schroeder was the 73-56 winner over University Prep when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 55-45 to the Griffins on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 391st, while the Griffins are ranked 178th).

This is the second loss in a row for Webster Schroeder and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for University Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Webster Schroeder has already played their next game (against University Prep Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for University Prep, they will head out to take on Niagara Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Griffins will be up against the Wolverines' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
