Basketball Recap: Enloe Takes a Loss

Enloe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 57-48 to the Leesville Road Pride. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-44 two weeks ago.

Despite the defeat, Enloe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gui Wilkins posted 16 points and three steals. Wilkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Preston Williams, who put up ten points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Enloe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Enloe's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Leesville Road, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Enloe has already played their next matchup (against Sanderson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Leesville Road, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-38 victory against Athens Drive on the 12th.
