Baseball Recap: Grayling Starts off Right with Win over St. Louis

Grayling had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They skirted past the St. Louis Sharks 7-6. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Austin Schwartz, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Max Huspen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grayling will venture away from home to challenge Harrison at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Louis, they will face off against Valley Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
