Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. Waterford Ravens
The Rowland Hall Winged Lions won the last time they faced the Waterford Ravens, and things went their way on Friday too. Rowland Hall came out on top in a nail-biter against Waterford and snuck past 55-52.
It was another big night for Yeshi Tsering, who scored 29 points along with three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landen Brady, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Waterford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carter Nielson, who scored ten points along with five steals. Nielson hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Walkingshaw, who scored 15 points.
Rowland Hall has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for Waterford, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7.
Rowland Hall will take on Draper APA at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Draper APA focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Waterford, they will head out on the road to take on American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
