Softball Recap: Oconee County Falls to Monroe Area

Thursday just wasn't the day for Oconee County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes.

Oconee County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's left a mark on their 16-12 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-1 Cherokee Bluff (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 72% over those games). Monroe Area (23-7) has been on a roll lately: they've now won 20 of their last 22 games.

As of now, neither Oconee County nor Monroe Area have any future games scheduled.
