Northwest's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the McClain Tigers as they made off with a 46-24 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mohawks just coasted through the last quarter.

Northwest was led to victory by Jake Brown and Carson Christian. Brown threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, while Christian gained 150 total yards and three touchdowns. Christian's longest reception was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

The victory got Northwest back to even at 1-1. As for McClain, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Northwest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-41 win against Chesapeake on the 5th. As for McClain, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-22 victory against Paint Valley on the 5th.
