Soccer Recap: Howell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Howell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Salem Rocks. While losing is never fun, Howell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Salem are ranked 56th).

Howell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Salem, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howell will head out to take on Kettering at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Howell will be up against Kettering's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.78 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Salem, they will head out on the road to face off against Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stevenson have yet to allow a single goal through six contests this season, a streak Salem will look to end.
