 Northeastern Clinton is 0-10 against Plattsburgh since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Plattsburgh Hornets at 4:30  p.m.
 Northeastern Clinton is probably headed into the  matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Plattsburgh just ended the team's  three-game winning streak  on Wednesday. They lost  14-3 to the Hornets.
 For Plattsburgh's part,  Braeden Calkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. Calkins has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Calkins was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kal Abernethy was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with three  runs and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Dominic DeAngelo, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Northeastern Clinton now  has a losing record at 7-8. As for Plattsburgh, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
