Baseball Preview: East Rowan Mustangs vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings
East Rowan is 8-2 against Central Cabarrus since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will square off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Central Cabarrus took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Rowan, who comes in off a win.
It looked like the Kentucky Derby when East Rowan challenged West Stanly on Wednesday. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Colts 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won three in a row.
East Rowan got a great performance from Brady Ailshie as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Ailshie has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Logan Bradley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Central Cabarrus' offense. They lost 11-0 to Carson on Tuesday. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Central Cabarrus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Fink, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Bryson Pate also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
