Softball Recap: Highway 6 Trailblazers vs. Cozad Haymakers        
        
		
             After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Seward, Highway 6 was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cozad Haymakers , sneaking past  6-5. This was payback for the Trailblazers, who suffered  a  16-7  defeat the last time these two teams met.
  Addison Klabunde spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Highway 6 let  Alexa Hale and  Lakyn Lewis loose on the outfield. Hale  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3, while  Lewis  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in  hits. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordyn Pracht, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Highway 6's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cozad, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season.
 Highway 6 didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  13-1  loss vs. Polk County on the 9th. Cozad has also already played their next contest,  a  10-1  defeat against Aurora on the 10th.
