Recap: Foothill Mustangs vs. Valley Vikings
On Friday, The Foothill Mustangs got themselves on the board against the Valley Vikings, but the Valley Vikings never followed suit. They blew past the Vikings, posting a 32-0 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Foothill, who have now won three matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
Even if they lost, Valley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zaryan (ziggy) hall.
The victory (which was Foothill's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Valley, their loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will face off against Natomas at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Florin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Florin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
