Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Chatham + How To Watch

Chatham hadn't done well against Altavista recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cavaliers came out on top against the Colonels by a score of 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Chatham got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 32-30, 23-25, 25-20.

Leading Chatham to victory were Brooklyn Rigney and Emma Faison. Rigney had 12 digs, while Faison had three aces and one block. Rigney is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Chatham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Chatham's record now sits at 14-5. As for Altavista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Chatham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Appomattox County on the 23rd. Altavista has also already played their next matchup (against William Campbell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
