Basketball Recap: La Porte Takes a Loss

La Porte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Pioneer Panthers 67-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Slicers of the 42-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

La Porte's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Pioneer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.

La Porte and Portage will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Porte is facing Portage at the right time seeing as Portage is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Pioneer has already played their next game, a 67-32 win against Laporte on the 14th.
