Recap: Warren Warriors vs. Gallia Academy Blue Devils
There's no place like home for the Warren Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Gallia Academy, posting a 68-35 win at home. Given Warren's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Gallia Academy is ranked 279th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Trent Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Connor Barry was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Warren now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Gallia Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren will take on Belpre at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Belpre will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Gallia Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
