There's no place like home for Orleans, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Springs Valley Blackhawks on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Izzie Rutherford, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Springs Valley off the board. Rutherford has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Adrian Abel, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

Orleans' victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Springs Valley, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.

Coming up, Orleans will challenge Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Springs Valley, they will take on West Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blackhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Senators have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
