Volleyball Game Preview: Walden Grove Red Wolves vs. Salpointe Catholic Lancers

Walden Grove is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will face off against the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 6:00 p.m. Walden Grove has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Salpointe Catholic will come in with three straight victories.

Walden Grove is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Tucson High Magnet School, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic made easy work of Tucson High Magnet School on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Salpointe Catholic's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.

Salpointe Catholic pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Walden Grove, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
