Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waverly). They blew past the Johnson City Wildcats 49-7 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Waverly was led to victory by Cooper Robinson and Ben Shaw. Robinson gained 188 total yards and two touchdowns, while Shaw rushed for 21 yards and a pair of TDs. Shaw also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 14 total tackles and defending one pass.
