There's no place like home for Elmira/Southside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Vestal Golden Bears 42-40. The Express have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Bears on Friday, too.

Vestal lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Julian Adams, who rushed for 117 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also picked up 115 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Josh Kweller, who rushed for 62 yards and three touchdowns.

Elmira/Southside's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Vestal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
