Basketball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Morris Mendham Minutemen. The match was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but the Cardinals couldn't quite close it out.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for West Morris Mendham, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood will face off against Ramsey at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Morris Mendham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chatham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
