Wakulla is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Spanish Fort. The War Eagles walked away with an 8-5 win over the Toros. The victory was nothing new for the War Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.
The team relied heavily on Cylie Long, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jenna Cross, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Wakulla was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spanish Fort only posted a batting average of .167.
Wakulla's win bumped their record up to 17-3-1. As for Spanish Fort, their loss dropped their record down to 32-10.
