Soccer Game Preview: Toledo Christian vs. Rossford

The Toledo Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Rossford Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Toledo Christian will be strutting in after a win while Rossford will be coming in after a defeat.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Toledo Christian beat Eastwood by a goal, winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, Rossford scored the most goals they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 8-3 to Genoa Area. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Rossford were already down 7-0.

Toledo Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those eight matchups. As for Rossford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Toledo Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Rossford when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
